Is there any point to different Ele armours? - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

I think fire armor is the least important since (as any fire ele knows) almost all the fire dmg is aoe and dot. So getting out from under the meteors or fire rain, and stepping out of the searing heat, is far more effective than a +15 fire armor.

I think its for looks personaly, I love my aeromacer 15k dyed yellow set, and i dont PvP so its really just a preference for what your taste is

I think this topic was "Is there any point to different Ele armours?" not blood rituals to video games, mabye we should be talking about ARMOR

There should be rewards for things you strive for, if not, then dont be dicks and put them in the game for no reason. Ive said my piece

Do You know how much work they would have to do to seperate PvP and PvE. And NOT EVERYONE has that much time to play the game. The whole point of the 15k armors are for MONEY SINKS ever heard of it??? I have 3 PvE chars and 1 slot open. But still just cause u got the cash doesnt mean that U should be entitled to better armor. I agree with the Great boo about how that this is the same as cheating. U spend ur cash to buy better armor and then pwn them while they do noo dmg to u. And dont give me crap about it being a little better armor makes a huge difference later on in ur posts. Whats with swearing my blood?

How can u ALWAYS be for change neway. U gotta have a good idea first

Nizzim, if you haven't notice, items in this game are not about stats. They are all about look. PvP only characters can only use basic items (collector's types), thus look like craps. PvE, due to your grindings and farming, can achieve "better" looks.

If you are about uber stats in items, then you are playing the wrong game.

Unless that reason is Winter, I'm not seeing why. After all, even if Water is the most powerful against an Elementalist (I don't know if it is or not), you see Air so much more often.

I am happy to add this guy to my ignore list in case I ever come across him. It is stated multiple times and is well known that those specialty armors dont have anything better. If you wasted your time "earning" it, then you would know that. YOUR REWARD IS A BETTER LOOK. END OF STORY.

But back on topic, if you are fighting the same element over and over, grab that armor for its extra benefits.

I dont get why people in this game dont enjoy rewards. It really bugs me, but I guess people are too stiff to want something that would be refreshing.

Im just saying its extremely gay that theres no difference from droknars onward

Looks and to identify what type you are.

Usually Ele's will wear the armor that they accel in.

Makes a lot easier on parties

The simple fact that nizzim is not yet flammed to death and back, rezzed, and flammed again shows what state the game currently is in. Really, build a time maschine, and try that "reward" thing on the beta forums ....

But after the release incident, i actually am looking forward to the level cap increase + the new armors with +10 AL in the expansion

Air eles are the most dangerous thing atm, but noone said that they have to do air dmg ...
Winter > air protection gear

From what i hear, earth can be nice, too - metagame changes, and so should your armor choices
